About the Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Formwork Carpenter to join a well-established civil construction crew working on a local infrastructure project within the Wollongong region.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of civil projects including kerb and gutter construction, footpaths, medians and other concrete infrastructure. You'll be joining an experienced team that values quality workmanship, safety and reliability, with hours available on a 9-day fortnight roster.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be required to:

• Set out and construct timber and steel formwork for kerb, gutter, median and footpath concrete works.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and survey set-out information.
• Install, align and brace formwork to required specifications and tolerances.
• Measure, cut and assemble formwork using hand and power tools.
• Ensure correct line, level and grade prior to concrete placement.
• Work closely with machine operators, concreters and other civil crew members.
• Maintain a safe worksite and follow site procedures at all times.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience as a Formwork Carpenter within civil construction.
• Takes pride in producing quality work and working to tight tolerances.
• Has experience working on kerb and gutter, footpaths or similar civil concrete projects.
• Works well both independently and as part of a crew.
• Has a strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Is reliable, punctual and ready to start immediately.

Essential Requirements

• Current White Card.
• Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
• Ability to pass medical and/or drug & alcohol testing if required.
• Full Australian working rights.
