Storeperson & Inventory Controller

About the Role
An opportunity exists for an experienced Storeperson to join a busy industrial operation on a 6-month contract. This role is focused on driving structure and accuracy within a challenging inventory environment where stock items are currently not fully catalogued or barcoded.
You will play a key role in bringing order to an under-structured stock system, requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to confidently identify a wide range of industrial components.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct stocktake activities across a broad range of industrial parts and equipment
- Identify, classify, and organise non-barcoded inventory items
- Support the development and implementation of improved stock control processes
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently within warehouse and yard environments
- Maintain accurate records and ensure inventory integrity
- Work collaboratively to improve overall store organisation and functionality
About You
- Current forklift licence (essential)
- Strong background in storeperson, warehousing, or inventory control roles
- Solid understanding of industrial parts, machinery components, pumps, or engines
- Experience in environments requiring manual stock identification and problem-solving
- Exposure to industrial settings, mechanical workshops, or hardware retail advantageous
- Practical, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes
