A growing manufacturing and distribution business in Nowra is seeking a proactive Assistant Operations Manager to support production, warehousing, quality, and inventory management. This hands-on role is perfect for someone organised, detail-focused, and ready to drive efficiency across operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and schedule production activities, ensuring deadlines are met and resources are allocated efficiently
  • Adjust production workflows as priorities change or issues arise to maintain smooth operations
  • Coordinate daily operational reviews with production, warehouse, and dispatch teams to monitor progress and resolve challenges
  • Collaborate with internal departments including sales, customer service, and warehouse to ensure accurate forecasting and alignment with business demands
  • Monitor product quality at key control points and support teams in resolving any quality issues promptly
  • Support compliance with WHS policies across operational teams, ensuring safe practices are maintained
  • Track inventory levels and manage stock transfers between locations to maintain supply chain continuity
  • Investigate discrepancies in stock or orders and implement corrective actions
  • Generate operational reports on production, quality, and inventory metrics to support management decision-making
  • Identify process improvements and contribute to efficiency initiatives across operations

About You

  • Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or production operations
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with teams and stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and quality-focused
  • Tertiary qualification or associate degree is advantageous but not essential
