About the Role

An established marine maintenance workshop is seeking a reliable and hands-on General Hand to join the team on an ongoing basis.

This role will see you supporting maintenance and repair work on vessels. With structured on-the-job training, the right candidate will be upskilled into performing specialised marine repairs within a short timeframe.

This is a genuine long-term opportunity for someone who is mechanically minded and looking to build capability in a niche trade environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Surface preparation and buffing for rubber repairs
• Adhesive application and patch fitting
• Reinforcement repairs where required
• Timber repairs
• Rope work
• General workshop and marine maintenance duties
• Use of power tools and hand tools

About You

• To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
• Previous general labouring experience
• Clear communication skills
• Ability to take direction and follow process
• Willingness to ask questions and learn
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Physical capability for hands-on repair work
• Commitment to consistent weekly hours
