Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Catering Assistant to join a professional, high-end hospitality operation. This role is essential to delivering exceptional food service and maintaining the high standards our guests expect. You will support daily kitchen operations across breakfast, lunch, and dinner, ensuring smooth service, immaculate presentation, and strict adherence to food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, basic cooking, and plating under the guidance of the Chef.
  
• Support service across breakfast, lunch, and dinner periods.
  
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, service areas, and equipment in line with food safety requirements.
  
• Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment during and after service.
  
• Assist with stock rotation, deliveries, storage, and accurate recording of food stores in accordance with HACCP procedures.
  
• Follow all workplace health, safety, and hygiene policies.
  
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to meet service timelines and standards.
  

Mandatory Requirements

✔ Current WWCC (Working With Children Check)
✔ Food Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain)
✔ Current Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable transport

About You

• Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or food service preferred.
  
• Demonstrated experience maintaining and accurately recording food stores.
  
• Strong work ethic with a proactive, team-oriented approach.
  
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, structured environment.
  
• High attention to cleanliness, presentation, and detail.
  
• Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct.
