Role Overview
The company is seeking a highly skilled Welder to join their fabrication team. You will be responsible for structural and general welding, metal fabrication, and component assembly. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Prepare, cut, shape, and align metal components for welding and fabrication.
- Perform welding using techniques such as MIG, TIG.
- Carry out grinding, finishing, assembly, and quality inspections.
- Maintain workshop equipment and ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members and supervisors to meet project requirements.
- Adapt to a variety of projects, from small fabrication jobs to larger assembly work.
Candidate Requirements
- Trade qualification in welding/fabrication or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience in structural steel fabrication or general metal fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety practices and PPE compliance.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills and flexibility to work on various projects.
