Administrative Officer – Governance Support
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Officer to join our governance team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a structured environment, ensuring critical processes are accurately managed and continuously improved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update Council delegations in external databases and internal records.
- Cross-reference documents across databases and registries to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with governance requirements.
- Prepare and update instruments of delegation using MS Word.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Identify opportunities to streamline administrative processes and suggest improvements.
- Assist with other governance-related administrative tasks as directed by the Governance Coordinator or Department Manager.
Skills and Experience Required:
- High-level computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other relevant applications.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff at all levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to suggest and implement process improvements.
