About us:

We are hiring for a long-standing civil contractor servicing the NSW South Coast, delivering earthworks, roadworks, drainage and subdivision projects for both private and government clients. Our modern fleet — including GPS-enabled and final-trim machinery — supports high-precision delivery across bulk excavation and civil infrastructure works

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators (3 t – 35 t class) – primary focus on medium-to-heavy civil works.
• Perform bulk excavation, trenching, road preparation, drainage, site cut/fill.
• Utilise GPS / final-trim systems to ensure accurate excavation and grading to spec.
• Work under direction of site supervisor to deliver on civil infrastructure projects.
• Conduct pre-start checks, routine maintenance and safety inspections of plant.
• Comply with all WHS, environmental, and company safety protocols and procedures.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as an excavator operator on civil works projects.
• Demonstrated proficiency with GPS / final-trim excavator technology and grading.
• Comfortable working on infrastructure, roads, drainage, and bulk excavation sites.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality — consistent with ISO-standard quality and safety systems.
• Ability to follow site directions, read civil plans, and work effectively in a team environment.
• Valid excavator licence (where required) and relevant certifications / inductions.
