The Role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Officer to ensure quality and compliance across laboratory and manufacturing processes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, takes ownership of results, and enjoys presenting findings to key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality assurance testing and analyse samples to ensure products meet standards
- Prepare specimens, films, and membranes for testing in accordance with quality assurance protocols
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment while safely managing chemical hazards
- Maintain accurate records, including laboratory notebooks, for site and regulatory compliance
- Support research and development (R&D) projects by planning, coordinating, and assisting under guidance from Principal Investigators
- Present data and findings to Principal Investigators and program leaders
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration on laboratory instruments
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous laboratory or quality assurance/QC experience; medical, pathology, or manufacturing background preferred
- A tertiary qualification in a science-related field (Chemistry, Biology, or Materials Science is desirable)
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional organisational skills
- Ability to work independently with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
