Sales Representative – Roofing & Construction

About the Role:

We are seeking a capable and motivated Sales Representative to join a well-established roofing and construction team in Griffith, supporting a growing pipeline of work. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales, preparing accurate quotes and estimates, and managing client relationships—with a focus on commercial projects, though residential work is also undertaken.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role well suited to someone with a trade background and solid understanding of construction and/or roofing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in commercial roofing and construction
• Conduct site visits and client meetings to scope works and assess job requirements
• Prepare clear, detailed, and competitive quotes and estimates
• Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
• Liaise with supervisors, project managers, and trades to ensure jobs are scoped correctly
• Manage client relationships and maintain regular communication throughout the project lifecycle
• Track and follow up on leads, quotes, and project timelines
• Maintain accurate records of quotes, proposals, and job specifications

Key Skills & Experience:

• Demonstrated experience in sales, estimating, or quoting within construction or roofing industries
• Trade background in carpentry, roofing, or general construction (desirable)
• Sound understanding of materials, labour, and sequencing in construction projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail with strong numeracy and analytical abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quoting software (e.g., Buildxact, Groundplan, or similar)
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player
