We are looking for a General Hand to join our team at a leading oyster farming and processing company in Greenwell Point. With over 30 years in the industry, the company prides itself on producing premium oysters.

As a dynamic and growing business, this company is looking to expand its team with passionate individuals who are eager to contribute to the daily operations of the farm and processing facility. If you are looking for a rewarding role in a fast-paced, outdoor environment, this is the opportunity for you.

As a General Hand, you will play an essential role in the daily operations, helping with oyster collection, processing, and maintaining the flow of the work site. Your tasks may include working both on the boat and in the shed to ensure that oysters are efficiently collected, processed, and returned to the water.

As a General Hand, your role may include:

• Collecting oysters from the boats
• Taking containers back to the shed to organise on the conveyer belt
• Returning the containers back out on to the boat and positioning back in the water

To be successful in this role, you may have:

• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Forklift Licence (beneficial)
• Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and carrying containers
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude
• Reliability and a strong commitment to safety and cleanliness in the workplace
• Own transportation and ability to get to Greenwell Point
