Operations Manager

On Line Recruitment are looking for an Operations Manager!

Our client is a global leader in environmental services, providing critical solutions in water, waste, and energy management. They are dedicated to delivering high-quality services to local communities whilst ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

They are now seeking an experienced Operations Manager. to join their team in the Shoalhaven. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing transport compliance, including driver fatigue management, vehicle maintenance, and mass weight regulations, while ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality services to local communities.



As an Operations Manager, your role will include:

• Managing daily fleet operations and ensuring all vehicles meet compliance and maintenance standards
• Efficiently allocating drivers and resources to optimise logistics and delivery schedules
• Overseeing and enforcing driver fatigue management, mass weight compliance, and other transport regulatory obligations.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with local councils, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Addressing and resolving customer complaints in a timely and professional manner
• Monitoring operational KPIs to ensure efficiency and adherence to service level agreements
• Leading a team of drivers and support staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience in fleet management, logistics, or operations within the transport or environmental services sector
• Strong understanding of transport compliance requirements, including driver fatigue management and mass weight regulations
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational challenges
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers, councils, and internal teams
• Proficiency in relevant software and systems for logistics and compliance management
