On Line Recruitment are looking for a Fitter & Turner!

Our client is an award winning, highly certified company that provides inspiring drainage solutions to architects and designers. They specialise in water flow grates and drainage systems for any bathroom, driveway, pool or entertaining area.

They are now seeking a Fitter & Turner to join their team in South Nowra. In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly, installation and maintenance of onsite mechanical components and systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in machining, an eye for precision, and a strong commitment to quality and safety.

As a Fitter & Turner, your role will include:

  • Loading, operating and adjusting CNC machines and other equipment to fabricate high-quality components
  • Assembling and fitting mechanical parts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications
  • Conducting routine inspection, maintenance and cleaning on tools and machinery to ensure optimal sequencing and performance
  • Diagnosing faults and performing repairs or replacements on CNC machinery and equipment
  • Collaborating with team members to meet production schedules and client deadlines
  • Working closely with engineers and supervisors to interpret technical drawings and instructions
  • Adhering to workplace health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant qualifications as a Fitter & Turner or in a similar mechanical trade
  • Proven experience in machining and mechanical assembly, preferably in the drainage or construction industry
  • Strong technical skills, with the ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Manual dexterity to assemble parts quickly and accurately, ability to lift up to 30kg regularly
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues effectively
  • A proactive attitude towards safety and compliance with regulations
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
