On Line Recruitment are looking for a Machine Operator!

Our client is a well-established Australian manufacturing company specialising in industrial chemicals and coatings. With a reputation for quality and a commitment to excellence, they provide innovative solutions across various industries.

They are now seeking a Machine Operator to join their team in South Nowra. In this role, you will be responsible for operating machinery that mixes raw ingredients to produce Urethane, Epoxy, Acrylic, Vinyl ester and Polyester products. Your tasks will include monitoring the production process, ensuring the machinery is running efficiently, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

As a Machine Operator, your role will include:

  • Operating machinery for product manufacturing
  • Performing manual labour tasks including lifting, carrying, and moving materials and equipment within the chemical factory
  • Loading and unloading materials and products using material handling equipment
  • Assisting in the setup and preparation of machinery and equipment for production runs
  • Following instructions and working under the supervision of the team lead or supervisor
  • Cleaning and maintaining work areas, including basic machine maintenance, sweeping and removing of debris
  • Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations
  • Working and communicating with co-workers effectively to ensure efficient workflow and meet production goals
  • Participating in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience as a labourer or operating machinery, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve machine-related issues
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for routine machine maintenance
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team
  • A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Forklift license (desirable but not essential)
