Our client is a trusted family business serving the building and height access needs of the South Coast, from Kiama to Batemans Bay. They offer comprehensive scaffolding services and scaffold equipment hire, tailored to suit each project.

They are now seeking a Scaffolding Supervisor to join their team in Nowra. In this role, you will oversee scaffolding projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership skills, extensive scaffolding experience, and a commitment to maintaining compliance with safety regulations.

As a Scaffolding Supervisor, your role will include:

  • Supervise and coordinate all scaffolding activities on-site to ensure the safe erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures
  • Manage a team of scaffolders, ensuring work is completed to schedule and in accordance with industry best practices
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies
  • Monitor and report on the progress of scaffolding work, providing updates to project managers and senior supervisors
  • Ensure all scaffold materials are accounted for, stored correctly, and used efficiently
  • Provide leadership and training to scaffolders and assist in their development
  • Identify potential hazards and risks, implementing corrective measures to maintain a safe working environment
  • Communicate effectively with other site teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A valid intermediate or advanced scaffolding certification
  • Extensive experience in scaffolding, with a strong background in supervision or team leadership
  • Solid understanding of construction site operations and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
  • In-depth knowledge of scaffolding systems, safety standards, and industry regulations
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships
  • A proactive approach to safety, problem solving, quality, and compliance
  • A valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel to various job sites as required
