Our client, a respected and dynamic organisation based in the Kiama region, is committed to providing high-quality community services with a strong focus on sustainability and safety. They are looking for a dedicated HR Driver to join their team and help maintain the essential waste collection services that support the local area.

In this role, you will operate side and rear lift vehicles for waste and recycling collection, ensuring services are completed safely, efficiently, and within the designated schedules. As a HR Driver, your responsibilities will include maintaining vehicle cleanliness, assisting with the manual handling of waste bins when required, and delivering exceptional customer service while interacting with the public. The role demands a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

As a HR Driver, you may be required to;

  • Safely operate side and rear lift vehicles to collect and transport waste and recycling materials.
  • Ensure all waste collection services are completed efficiently and in line with schedules.
  • Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and functionality, reporting any issues or maintenance needs.
  • Comply with all relevant traffic and safety regulations while on duty.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of waste bins when required.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to inquiries from the public in a professional manner.
  • Follow all operational guidelines and safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

What we are looking for in a HR Driver;

To be successful in this role, there are a few things we are looking for:

  • Current HR (Heavy Rigid) driver’s license.
  • Experience operating side and rear lift vehicles (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong commitment to safety and operational standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to engage with the public professionally.
  • Physical ability to assist with the manual handling of waste materials when required.
  • A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
